A solar oven or solar cooker is a device which uses sunlight as its energy source. Because they use no fuel and they cost nothing to run, humanitarian organizations are promoting their use worldwide to help slow deforestation and desertification, caused by using wood as fuel for cooking. Solar cookers are a form of outdoor cooking, and are often used in situations where minimum fuel consumption or fire risk are considered highly important.There are the box ovens,panel ovens, and parabolic ovens.

I know that today, that the sun is simply our nearest star. Without it, life would not exist on our planet. We use the sun's energy every day in many different ways.
When we hang laundry outside to dry in the sun, we are using the sun's heat to do work -- drying our clothes.
Plants use the sun's light to make food. Animals eat plants for food. And as we learned in Chapter 5, decaying plants hundreds of millions of years ago produced the coal, oil and natural gas that we use today. So, fossil fuels is actually sunlight stored millions and millions of years ago.
Indirectly, the sun or other stars are responsible for ALL our energy. Even nuclear energy comes from a star because the uranium atoms used in nuclear energy were created in the fury of a nova - a star exploding.

Lesson 7

I liked the Bl.gov website because it gave me more information on what to do now to get in my career as a motorcycle mechanic. Also even though Im not trying to become a professional athlete it gave me imformation on everything you need to do to become a professional athlete besides just playing the sport. The professional athlete information was different because I would've thought there would be information telling you how to become a professional athlete.

Lesson 5

My reaction toward these 6 videos was amazing.The first video I watched was automotive mechanics, I learned how more in detail about automotive than just they repair cars.Moreover I also learned that these mechanics also install and repair acesssories, such as radios, mirrors, and windshields wich I didn't know. The second video I watched was about the aircraft mechanics and these mechanics are really important and they have to be very careful and perfect at their job. Because the lives and safety of everyone who flies are in the hands of aircraft mechanics.So its important for mechanics to look for faulty instruments like metal fatigue, and other things that can call damage in the future. Another video I watched was the one I liked the most because Im going to choose it for a career is motorcycle mechanics who do almost the same thing as automotove mechanic, but motorcycle mechanics work on cars. Motorcycle repair motorcycles and install accessories also like radios, tvs, speakers and etc. Furthermore now the project videos that I watched on the engineering website was good too. The first video I watched was about a man who put rocket launchers on his motorcycle and shoots them off. The second video I watched was abot the transformation of a two wheel Ducati motorcycle transforming to a quad. And the last but not least video I was about the different sportbikes that came out in 2009.

Lesson 6

I enjoyed lesson 6 because i got the oppurtunity to learn about roller coaster a little more. And i got the oppurtunity to here from students who are pursuing their careers.

Lesson 4

Some of the engineering careers that im interested in are technician and architect, but the one im mainly interested in is technician because the career that im going to choose is motorcycle techincian so it gave me alot of information on what I need to do now to get ready for my career.

My reaction to Skills search was also good it help me to see that Im on the right tract to my occupation because my choice of skils shows it

The true colors lesson help me to see that my primary color is gold.It also told me that I was a reliable organizer who could be counted on to implement other people's ideas and get the job done.

My reaction to learning stlyles was good I found out if my type of learning sound was good.This help me to see what learning styles that I should keep or change for myself.
